In this short video I prepare a large canvas on which I will later paint majestic old trees from Cathedral Grove. Last year I posted on my website and Facebook page a watercolour and Gouache study of this scene. I am now ready to paint it. Because of the dimensions of the canvas, it will be a long process but it is something that I look forward to. This is a new experience with acrylic paints for me. Scary but so exciting!
I also share an experiment with acrylic inks to help me decide if I will use them in this artwork.

Part 3 of the Sketchbook Series is posted on my YouTube channel. It’s about flowers, plants and trees and how their beauty can be magical and healing.
In this video I start an underpainting of, you guessed it, flowers! I explore a new medium, new to me at least, acrylic inks. I was not sure if it would work but that’s the beauty of pushing boundaries and getting out of one’s comfort zone. Sometimes, you have to take risks to find out what you can achieve … says the wise woman!

Here I am with part 2 of the Sketchbook Series titled: Happiness - Be Brave.
Part 2 is about Nature, Landscapes, Seascapes & Villages. I also briefly talk about a commissioned artwork ready to be sent to the client. Before wrapping the artwork, I give a mini virtual art exhibit from our dinning room!
It feels good to be painting in the studio and producing videos after a prolonged absence.
